We had originally planned to have a local friend drive us to Kiyotsu Gorge, but it was canceled due to her husband's sudden hospitalization on the day. Just as we were about to give up on visiting Kiyotsu Gorge, the hotel introduced us to Ms. Teraguchi. We both keep saying how glad we are to have met her. We were also very satisfied with the souvenirs she recommended. The Hakkaisan sake lees had a wonderful aroma, and we made kasu-jiru soup as soon as we returned home. The Baumkuchen with the aroma of Hakkaisan sake was also delicious. We truly appreciated her attentive care and detailed consideration, as well as the gourmet information she shared. Participated in the Kiyotsu Gorge – Uonuma no Sato course on November 12, 2025.
On our way back from visiting a friend in Niigata, we decided to stop by Yuzawa Onsen. Although we had not done much research in advance, the hotel introduced us to a guide, and we were able to efficiently visit Kiyotsu Gorge and nearby spots according to our return schedule. Our guide, Ms. Teraguchi, was knowledgeable not only about sightseeing locations but also about gourmet food and souvenirs, which made shopping very enjoyable. Having a guide who provides not only transportation to destinations but also sightseeing information was an ideal choice for our small-group trip.
